December 1: The Hunt is a 12 panel accordion housed in a functional wind-up metronome case fitted with a custom lid of wood and leather. The text block is laserprint transfer on tinted tyvek with covers of paper wrapped steel. The steel enables magnets to hold the book vertically inside the lid when closed. The outside cover is adorned with mica and a hand painted label. Threaded posts and nuts hold the lid in place when closed. Text by Cole Swensen, design and fabrication by Alicia Bailey.
